Hardwoods

The difference between hardwoods and softwoods in the cellular structure. The structure of hardwoods more complex and includes pores throughout.

Hardwoods grow more slowly and branch out in a variety of directions rather than shooting straight up.

Because of how long it takes to grow, it adds to the cost and the density of the material makes it much harder to work with.

Hardwood trees lose there leaves in the fall.
