Vinyl / Steel Siding
Vinyl and steel are both very popular materials for siding. However, they each have unique benefits that could make one more appropriate than the other in certain applications.
Vinyl and steel are both very durable. Under normal conditions, either one of them will last for many years. However, between the two options, steel will typically be the more durable choice.
As far as cost, steel siding will usually be more expensive. The exception to this rule is when oil prices are high. Vinyl production is directly linked to oil prices. When oil is high, you may find vinyl siding is roughly the same price as steel.
